We were delighted to welcome over 150 participants at MACN’s Spring Members Meeting, held at Moltkes Palæ in Copenhagen on April 26 – 27, 2023. The meeting covered a mix of plenary sessions and workshops.
On the first day, members had the opportunity to hear from several experts and leaders including Richard Bistrong (FCPS, Anti-Bribery, Ethics, and Compliance consultant), Yulia Klymenko (Member of Parliament of Ukraine, First Deputy of the Transport and Infrastructure Committee at Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine), and Allan Pagh Kristensen (Head of the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine, EUACI). In plenary, MACN’s partners provided a summary overview on the progress made in MACN’s Collective Action Countries and members split up to take part in breakout sessions together with MACN’s local partners from Egypt, India, Indonesia and Nigeria after.
The workshops on the second day revolved around challenges faced by different segment working groups and compliance related topics, ranging from incident reporting to seafarer recruitment. It also included a plenary session on a vessel detained in a high-risk country by Control Risks and an update from the MACN Board.
